The first Canberra Baroque Weekend of music from the 17th and 18th centuries is to be held at St John's from 20 - 22 October.

• As well as local musicians, there will be performances by harpsichordist Rosalind Halton (Newcastle University) and baroque cellist Jamie Hey of Sydney.
• St John's choirmaster, Terry Norman, will provide harpsichord accompaniment for the recorders of Robyn Mellor.
• The 11.15 Sunday service will feature a Bach cantata for organ and alto, as well as a special mass setting by Buxtehude and an anthem by Monteverdi, sung by St John's Choir, expanded with a few additional voices for the occasion.
